Pseudo-retired MMA superstar bad-boy Conor McGregor has reportedly been arrested in France in connection with allegations of indecent exposure an attempted sexual assault.

McGregor, 32, was according to a French newspaper arrested on the beach island of Corsica, and now faces an official police hearing. All of this as a result of an official complaint having been filed with a French prosecutor’s office towards the end of last week. The Irishman however reportedly denied all accusations of sexual misconduct, and was released shortly after having been taken into custody by local law enforcement. He was reportedly also not immediately formally charged.

The Irish fighter’s manager, Audie Attar, has in the meantime issued a stern warning by way of a statement directed at “all those” seeking to score an easy payday out of McGregor. Conor McGregor will not become a target for gold-digging predators, emphasised a clearly irate Attar. McGregor was at the time of the unsavoury incident travelling on his yacht alongside wife-to-be and mother of his two children, Dee Devlin.

According to a local French television broadcaster, the complainant accusing McGregor of indecent exposure is alleging that the MMA star, whilst accompanied by his personal bodyguards, had on the evening of the incident flashed his “private parts” at her without her consent. She claims to have at the time been on her way into a local bar’s toilets.

The word on whether or not McGregor’s most recent retirement announcement will end up sticking as final, remains out.
