Sports broadcaster and TSN Sports Centre host Dan O’Toole’s one-month-old baby daughter has been found safe with her mom. The popular television sports host on Thursday posted a heart-rendering appeal on social media platform Instagram, wherein he confirmed that his baby daughter Oakland had been abducted – but added that he believed his child to be alive. He also begged whoever had “abducted” Oakland to bring her back to him.

A prominent news page however mere hours later tweeted that O’Toole’s baby has been located and that the child is safe and with her mother. The reporter responsible for the post added that the baby’s status had been provided to him by Durham police, to which O’Toole some forty minutes later responded about the matter not having fallen under the jurisdiction of the DRPS, and that he considered the proper procedure that he as the father should have been informed first concerning his child’s safety.

The 44-year-old O’Toole then posted an update to his original Instagram statement, in which he confirmed that his child was safe. He however added that he had “still” not seen her and was “still broken”, fueling the flames of media speculation even more.

Oakland was born from O’Toole’s marriage to his ex-wife, Corrie. And even though he made it clear in a follow-up post that his ex-wife had not had anything to do with his child’s disappearance, he later returned to post about the family being “broken” to the point of perhaps never being “fixed again”.
