True love seemed to be a given between Nick Kyrgios and Chiara Passari during the Australian Open this year but now we’re not so sure. Kyrgios and his on-again/off-again girlfriend Passari seem to have hit troubled water. The status of their relationship is up for debate after Passari decided to post a cryptic, albeit heated, text message exchange between them to her Instagram account for everyone to see.
Just last week the pair deleted photos of one another from their social media profiles, only to upload adoring Valentine’s Day communiqués just a little while later. And then things took a turn for the worse again over the weekend, with Passari sharing an explosive message exchange. This is after publishing thoughts on how unfaithful partners demand loyalty.
It was after this that Kyrgios suggested that everything was going well by writing messages telling Passari how much he missed her on camera lenses after his Australian Open games. But then things got ugly when Passari posted a screenshot detailing a conversation the pair had had only to delete it a little later on.
In it, Kyrgios bids her farewell and tells Passari that she disgusts him before sarcastically saying that he hopes she enjoys her life. Passari responds by saying that these messages tell her everything she needs to know, and Kyrgios seems to be confused about her message. She then informs Kyrgios that she’s sorry he has so much self-loathing and Kyrgios wishes her the best of luck.
Only time will tell if the seemingly very mismatched pair will struggle on.
