Ecuador Open Gets Going
Exciting news as Tommy Robredo of Spain has confirmed his participation in the Ecuador Open who no doubt wishes to regain the top form that saw him clinching the title back in 2011. The Spaniard will be in for some tough competition as the attendance for this ATP 250 event is expected to be of a high quality with some intense matches forecast for the duration of the competition. The tournament kicked off on February the 6th and runs to February the 12th, and is sure to dleiver plenty of tennis action.
The singles segment of the proceedings will see 28 contestants take to the clay surfaced courts in search of ATP points glory. Total prize money is at over US $482,060 so there will be plenty of hard core tennis for fans and punters to enjoy.
Sofia Open Order of Play Set
The Garanti Koza Sofia Open is to be held in Bulgaria and will feature more ATP players for this spectacular tournament. Those doubting the event’s massive appeal need only look at the ticket sales of late, sales spiked for the February 11th and 12th semi finals and finals respectively.
The order of play is set to be finalized and issued on February 4th, but so far the names that are definitely playing on either the 8th or 9th are: Dominic Thiem, David Goffin, Roberto Bautista Agut,and Grigor Dimitrov. Grigor Dimitrov is himself Bulgarian and will be wanting to put on a show for his home nation as he takes to the court in the Garanti Koza Sofia Open.
Sud De France gets Going
Montpellier, France is also gearing up for competitive ATP tournaments with Sud De France coming up fast. The Sud De France is hotly anticipated on the sporting calendar and sees its starting date coming up on Februray 5th and is expected to run up until the 12th.
The field of competitors is looking to be pretty tough with among others ranked 24th Zverv Alexander, 18th Gasquet Richard, 12th Tsonga Jo-Wilfred and number 7 Cilnic Marin.
