It now appears as if F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton’s fate has been sealed as racing with team Mercedes for at least another year.
Mercedes on Thursday evening issued a tweet that stopped short very near officially confirming a new deal with Hamilton to have been officially set in stone. Hamilton and Mercedes previously both expressed the hope that a new deal would be inked sooner rather than later – and it now seems as if each have had their pre-Christmas wish come true.
Hamilton was also recently quoted as having declared it his plan and desire to continue driving for Mercedes in 2021. The champion driver after the season finale in Abu Dhabi spoke about how as a “team” much more could be achieved both on the track as well as away from it.
