Tiger Woods Unlikely To Make Pro-Return

December 1, 2021 by

After suffering life-threatening injuries in a car crash in February, golfing legend Tiger Woods has now revealed he’ll probably never make a full-time return to the game. He also admitted to having feared his leg would be amputated due to the severity of his injuries.

During an interview on Monday, Woods said any return to playing golf would likely be severely limited. Woods added that while playing the PGA tour “one day” would likely be a possibility, he anticipates that he’ll have to choose his events selectively.

The legendary player sustained fractures to both the tibia and fibula in his right leg.

He said he regarded his personal reality as unfortunate, but added that he has reached a place of understanding and acceptance.

Woods has in the past made more than just a couple of remarkable comebacks. One such return had been after a series of back injuries in 2019 – the year he’d go on to win the Masters. Even so, Woods said his priorities right now are different to back then. For now, his focus will be on his health and family, he revealed.

Also a talented golfer is his 12-year-old son, Charlie. Woods said this week he’d been watching his son grow and helping him work on the mental aspects of the game. He said he derived great joy from watching him play and improve.

Woods has not received a citation over the Feb. crash as the single-vehicle accident had been the result of excessive speeding, and not drugs and/or alcohol.
